Rapid-Fire Gas CannonRAT TAT TAT TATA TAT!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOM BOOM BOOM No approvals needed! For simulating machineguns at air shows, and light Artillery indoors for 1812 overtures, the gas gun is used where precise cueing and volume of sound is needed. For instance at air shows as a plane flies overhead, the rapid-fire gas cannon gives a realistic machine-gun sound. The audience never notice that it is concealed close by them in a sandbagged observation post. Where an orchestra is performing indoors, the gas gun can be fired in single-shot mode precisely to cue by a member of the orchestra. Usually a percussionist will have this well under control. The cannon can be set up in a separate room backstage at a safe distance from performers and still be more than adequately loud. Controlled by a programmable logic controller (an industrial computer) the quantities of gas affecting how loud it is, and the speed of firing are precisely preset before the show. During the show the operator has control over firing the bursts, firing single bursts, and increasing the volume of the single bursts. The operator can be up to 100 metres away and cables to this length are supplied on request. Safety PrecautionsYou must discuss the precautions needed for hearing protection with this gun. If it was to be fired with someone directly in front of it, it would destroy their hearing. However proper precautions such as adequate distance, earmuffs for those close by would ensure complete compliance with all standards for hearing protection. An example from, experiences regarding hearing protection, would be that you do not put your head right next to a racing car exhaust, but you are quite safe to listen to this when it is on the racetrack some distance from you. Technical specificationsThe unit runs from a small cylinder of propane and a small cylinder of oxygen. To avoid freight problems these are hired in the town it is being used in. The unit weighs 60 kilograms, and comes in the a travelling case 850 millimetres square by 600 millimetres high. It is a firm lift for two strong people. The gas bottles will be additional, although there is room inside to put the LPG bottle. We can send an empty LPG bottle for you to refill as small hire bottles are not readily available. We can also make arrangements to have BOC gases deliver and pick up the oxygen bottle. | ||||||||||
